KENTUCKY BOARD OF LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS

 

The Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors administers and enforces its statutory authority and monitors the needs of the consuming public. The board examines and licenses all eligible candidates for entry into the profession as a professional counselor. It recommends appropriate changes in the law to assure fairness and equality. The board conducts formal hearings when necessary and prosecutes by due process any violators of KRS 335.500.

NOTICE: Written comments on the proposed Rules: Chapter 8 - Draft Rule on Conversion of a Privilege to Practice to a Home State License, Chapter 9 - Draft Rule on Consistent Credentialing, OR Chapter 10 - Draft Rule on Supervised Postgraduate Experience must be submitted by April 20, 2026, 11:59 MT. TEAM KENTUCKY EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND

Governor Beshear has established the Team Kentucky Emergency Relief Fund to assist Kentuckians impacted by catastrophic events. All donations to the Team Kentucky Emergency Relief Fund are tax-deductible, and donors will receive a receipt for tax purposes after donating. This fund is fully transparent and is subject to open records and legislative oversight. There are no administrative fees, so every dollar helps Kentuckians.
